Kohler Kathryn toilet with AquaPiston, Quick-Release seat, Clean Caps, uses 1.28 gallons, 105 pounds, left handle. Flushing Power

The Kathryn has a precision-engineered tank, bowl, and trapway that harnesses the power of gravity to create an extra-strong siphon. Revolution 360 swirl flushing technology streams water all around the bowl so no grime or streaks are left behind.

The high-quality AquaPiston canister optimizes flush performance by requiring a lower actuation force than a traditional flapper. The canister’s design has 90% less exposed seal material than a three-inch flapper, reducing the chance of leakage. The toilet’s flush valve also has a 3:2 ratio that further increases flushing strength.

At 1.28 gallons per flush, this unit saves you thousands of gallons a year, when compared to traditional 1.6 GPF units. Saving thousands of gallons means hundreds of dollars off your annual water bill. Nowadays it’s hard to find things that are both cost-effective and eco-friendly, but this EPA WaterSense-certified toilet has you covered.

Smart Design

Take a look at the Kathryn’s beautiful concealed trapway. The unique octagon shape effortlessly compliments the toilet’s slightly angled tank. The toilet’s faux-crown molding gives it a classic feel while also maintaining a modern touch. We recommend this toilet for traditional bathrooms, as the toilet would be at home amidst a tiled backsplash and large mirrors.

One of the Kathryn’s most defining features is its ADA-compliance. The toilet stands at 16 ⅜” and has an elongated bowl. ADA-compliant toilets are excellent for all users as they make units more accessible to those in need of extra assistance while sitting or standing up.

A diagram of a Kohler Kathryn toilet with specifications for dimensions, flushing score, water consumption, and other features. Elongated bowls provide an extra layer of comfort by dispersing user body weight when sitting. This model’s elongated bowl takes up the same amount of space as a round bowl so you can have a better bathroom experience without sacrificing space!

The Kathryn has a concealed trapway, eliminating any little spaces where dirt may accumulate. The toilet’s Clean Caps low-profile bolt caps facilitate easier cleaning as they’re easily removable and simple to reinstall.

The Kathryn is available in white, biscuit, and black black. The toilet comes with a left-hand polished chrome trip lever. From our perspective, the trip lever is a bit strange. Instead of pushing down like a traditional lever, this one requires you to pull upwards. While it’s not that big of a difference, it’s worth mentioning.

Another feature that we love about this unit is that it comes with a toilet seat. Oftentimes its tough to find an affordable toilet that comes with a seat – let alone a good one. The Kathryn comes with the Quiet Close compact elongated seat. So long are the days of annoying seat slamming and cracking! The seat’s Quick-Release functionality also makes the seat easy to remove – an extra perk during cleaning.
