Let’s have a further look at the top features of the SaniFlo SaniAccess 3 toilet.

1. Unique Design

This unique, two-piece toilet is made from high-standard porcelain, which is known for its quality and durability in the industry. The macerator tank is also constructed from the same material. Porcelain is sturdy and easy to clean, which makes it ideal for easy cleaning and maintenance. Additionally, this toilet features an elongated bowl for superior comfort by providing the user with more room to sit.

2. Efficient Flushing System

saniaccess 3 in bathroom The SaniAccess uses a unique flushing system that consumes a lot less water than most traditional toilets. Its flushing system, known as an “upflush” system, actually takes about 10-12 seconds to remove waste. When you activate the flush valve, the water flows into the toilet and activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which causes a motor to start. This motor is sealed permanently inside an oil-filled container where it causes a set of macerator blades to begin to rotate at a speed of 3600 rotation per minute.

These macerator blades then grind down the water and organic waste until it can easily flow through a pipe. The mixture then runs into a container where an impeller pump located under the motor picks it up. This pump then pumps the waste either horizontally or upwards for disposal.

Take a look at our in-depth reviews of macerating toilets.

Once the water level within the toilet goes back down, the micro switch deactivates automatically until the next time the toilet if used. This entire procedure takes about 10-12 seconds. In addition to that, the SaniAccess 3 also discharges greywater from a variety of other sanitary products, for instance, bathtubs, urinals, and showers. Thanks to this unique system and setup, you can actually install an upflush toilet and other appliances without the traditional bathroom plumbing setup.

3. Spotless Cleaning

Overall, the SaniAccess 3 is very easy to clean because of its porcelain construction. The surfaces should be easy to wipe down, and you’ll only need a standard gentle cleaner, some wipes, and a brush for your regular toilet maintenance. The interior mechanisms may be more challenging to clean, like any toilet, but you can also purchase a cleaning system to run through the toilet periodically as well. In addition to that, you can also purchase an optional hard water cleaning system that will also make flushing a bit easier.

Installation

When it comes to the installation of the toilet, you may want a professional plumber only if you don’t have previous plumbing or DIY experience. Overall, you will need to follow the instruction manual to make sure that everything is connected correctly. For instance, you don’t have to join this toilet to a water supply. In addition to that, the macerator should be connected to a power supply because it works on electricity.
