Warranty:

EAGO TB309 eco-friendly toilet As mentioned above, the warranty period for this product is up to 5 years long! Depending on the supplier, there is an additional protection that can be purchased. For example, they offer four and a 3-year protection plan a slight increase in the price on Amazon.

Ease of Installation:

The approximate time for the full installation of the product is 2.5 hours. According to the reviews, the installation is elementary. The size of it is possibly the only flaw in the installation because it can not be placed anywhere. Upon purchase, you will get all the necessary parts to make the product function properly, including the installation manual and tank fitting. If done correctly, you can get the toilet going in three very easy steps explained in the manual!

Specifications:

As with most of the products from the EAGO TB line, this one also includes a dual flush mechanism. The best outcome of such a mechanism is the economic savings that result from reducing water waste. Additionally, soft closing seats, as well as the lid, are there to increase comfort, and 3″ flushing valves minimize the possibility of unpleasant situations.

The critical difference between the EAGO TB309 and EAG TB353 is the size; the EAG TB353’s larger size is compensated with a lower price.

Buyer’s Guide: Porcelain or Plastic? The Best RV Toilet?

No decision about the specific toilet type was created when onboard RV toilets first came into vogue. Earlier, plastic RV toilets were trendy. However, there’s a great flood of porcelain thrones nowadays. While many RVs still usually come with a plastic one, the demand for Porcelain is increasing. The reason for that is mainly the cleaner and much better performance.

Some say that it is better to use a porcelain toilet because cleaning it is much simpler than its plastic counterpart. It seems you have a wider variety of good reviews entirely on the porcelain side of the story. It appears that porcelain product has less potential to rust. You may feel the difference if you ride in rough water regions, in which case the Porcelain may be a better option.

Why Are Toilets Porcelain?

why are porcelain models good

For toilet building, Porcelain has long been preferred as the only option that’s easy to clean, hygienic, durable, and fully waterproof while still remaining inexpensive and easy to use. In comparison, other materials don’t offer the same benefits – for example, wood suffers direct damage from water and humidity, and plastic is less durable in the long term.

Another major benefit of porcelain toilets is the “lifetime” of the product. In the industry, they say to “buy a toilet just as you buy a car.” The standard porcelain toilet is intended to last around 50 years if used properly, making them an investment for your bathroom.

Porcelain vs. Ceramic?

The critical difference between those two materials is how they are made:  Porcelain toilets are produced at much higher temperatures, increasing their durability over ceramic. Additionally, while a cheaper product, ceramic toilets are more susceptible to stains, making porcelain the popular choice between the two.

How to Choose a Porcelain Toilet?

Considering how often toilets are used, you should take more than just price into account when picking the right one. For example, the height of the toilet will impact comfort and usability, particularly for old or disabled individuals. Additionally, you’ll want to take into account product dimensions to ensure your new toilet fits properly in your bathroom.

Types of Toilet

There are two predominant types on the market: the more commonly used two-piece toilet and the newer, more fashionable one-piece toilet. Two-piece toilets are cheaper to get but occupy more space and take longer to fully install in your bathroom. In comparison, one-piece toilets are extremely easy to install and use – everything that you need comes with the product, and it can fit anywhere. However, one-piece toilets are more expensive.

Different Bowl Shapes

You can get your toilet in three main shapes: round-front toilet, elongated, and compact-elongated. According to the reviews, the most comfortable option is the elongated bowl, although it often can occupy a lot of space. If the bathroom is relatively small, you might consider another shape. The most child-friendly toilet is the round-front one, which is the most prevalent toilet and is very small in size. The third and the final shape of the toilets represent the mixture of two already mentioned shapes – the compact-elongated toilet represents a perfect balance between comfort and space consumption!

Rough-In Size

Rough-in size refers to the distance between the wall behind the toilet and the last pipe. If the Rough-in size is not measured correctly, you might end up with a toilet that you cannot put into place. The most common distance is 10, 12, and 14 inches, so make sure that you make those measurements before you go out to purchase a new toilet!

Height

The most common toilet height is around 17 inches – a taller toilet will be preferred by older adults, whereas children will be more comfortable on a shorter toilet.

Gallons per Flush

Here it’s all about efficiency. Most toilets use between 0.6 and 1.6 gallons per flush. If the toilet uses more water, it’ll lead to higher water bill expenses, although the toilet itself will be more affordable. By comparison, toilets that use less water per flush will be more expensive to purchase initially but save money in the long run.

Pricing

Price considerations will depend on whether you’re looking to invest in a toilet that’s more comfortable and lasts longer vs seeking a budget-friendly option that’ll still satisfy your bathroom needs.

Porcelain Toilets: Frequently Asked Questions

How Do You Clean a Porcelain RV Toilet?

We have a couple of steps to follow to make sure everything is crisp and clean!

  1. Spray Toilet Bowl with Cleaner
Using the cleaner of your choice, make sure to spray the whole inside of the bowl. After spraying, let the cleaner sit for five to ten minutes so it can start breaking down stains and dirt.
  2. Scrubbing Time!
For this step, take either a sponge or a non-abrasive bowl brush to scrub down the bowl’s whole surface. Depending on the bowl material, you may need to have a very soft bristle brush to avoid damaging the bowl itself.
  3. Rinse
After you scrub everything, flush the toilet to rinse everything away.

Important note: Do not use anything that can harm the toilet itself! Check your cleaner to avoid harsh chemicals, as damage to the toilet from cleaning may not be covered by the warranty.

Can You Put a Porcelain Household Toilet in an RV?

The most straightforward answer: Yes, however, it is not recommended. Household toilets consume a lot of water, making them inefficient for RV usage. There are plenty of RV-only toilets that will be more useful for your home on wheels!

How Long Do Porcelain Toilets Last?

If you take care of your porcelain throne, it can last for decades (professional plumbers recommend replacing your toilet after 50 years, however).

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a proper toilet for your RV, we hope our recommendations and suggestions help you make the right choice for a new porcelain toilet for your bathroom!
